Nice day down in St George. Fairly consistent with exception of a couple of slower miles on the hills. Ran with a pretty consistent group helping me chase and keep pace. Hoping to do 1:28, ended up just under and a new PR at 1:27:22. 3 mile warm up/1 mile CD.

Way to go! Something to be happy with for sure!

That's a pretty dang honest course with some hills to not sneeze at. (I regularly sneeze at hills. Do you?) That is just flying fast, Kendall, especially considering all of the other mountain-goat, multiple-hour runs you regularly put in. Your having gone 3 flat on the big downhill BCC marathon makes this race even more interesting to me. I think it says good things about matching that marathon time on a much flatter course.

Thanks Julie & Neasts! I think it's a good thing to travel outside ones comfort zone. I don't mind the road but prefer the trails. It would be fun to take some time to focus on speed and really see what I can do at this old age but not at the expense of hanging up trail running.

Congrats on a great race and PR Kendall. Also on edging out my wife, she's a tough cookie.

At least I got that going for me Riley. Amy Cook!! Of course, I think I clipped her at like 12.9 and she about got me at the finish. Good to know who she is!

Ok then... game on...break 1:30 :-) i will be at boston this year, bummer. Unless u want to move it up two weekends for me as part of my training ;-)

From RileyCook on Tue, Jan 21, 2014 at 14:44:50 from 172.56.9.64

Like I said she's tough. I vote for moving Thanksgiving Point up to so I can run both it and Boston! 😊
