Thursday night/Friday morning run from Sand Hollow up to Mollie's Nipple under (nearly) full-moon. Started at 1 am finished just before 5 am. Had some trouble locating the trailhead and nearly gave up but found it. Great run. Surprisingly no cars (14 miles of road), no wildlife, no reptiles, strangely quiet. Kept thinking of Stephen King's "Christine." Waiting for a roaring motor and headlights to come on right behind me. Need a remake of that classic.

Yo Neasts. Back from back-to -back scout camps with a family reunion tucked in the middle. Initially thought the timing was perfect coinciding with the taper, however, I'm exhausted. Never been so unprepared for a race in my life. 3 days rest (legs) and hoping to get some sleep and things will turn around.
